Welcome. We are well on our way. If you got an early start
you should see the sun rising over Byers Peak as you walk in its
morning shadow. This is a little over an hour from the previous photo.
The trail led you down to an old logging area and road. You had to
cross the large creek and find the trail continued on its opposite side.
The trail at first runs along its west bank.
