This lovely meadow above and the one's you see as you first enter Rocky
Mountain National Park were opened up by homesteaders trying their
hand at Ranching and Dairy Farming. The water pooled in the lower left
has been diverted fro a stream. Click on photo to move back half a mile.
The meadows form the 20 mile long Kawuneeche Valley that reaches to the
headwaters of the Colorado River and Thunder Mountain in the far distance
in the photo above.
