Jet skiing, Wakeboarding and Wakesurfing are allowed (away from nesting areas).

From here one can hike along the river all the way to where it meets Lake Granby ..., and even further all the
way to Monarch Lake (one could park a car at either end). There is also a fine hike the opposite way along
the east shore of Shadow Mountain Lake to Grand Lake. Scroll down to see the view at the beginning of the
pleasant, almost level walk along the lake. Portions of the land downstream of Shadow Mountain Lake has
sometimes been closed off to give eagles more peace of mind in their nesting areas. About a mile downstream
from the Colorado River shown here ... one meets Columbine Creek ... which has rugged trails up into the
mountains to Twin Peaks and Watanga Lake ... and back down to Lake Granby's Arapaho Bay.

There is a path along the right hand side to Grand Lake. It also has a side route up to the fire tower on top of Shadow Mountain.
