This narrow trail is along the boundary of Rocky Mountain National Park
(to the right, south) and the Arapaho National Recreation Area to the left.
It used to have small power poles and an electric line to the tower. The turnoff
for this path is 15 minutes along the lakeside trail, just before an information board.
Please note: it is a strenuous one hour climb or longer to the tower from here.
There is an easier and much longer route that the Park recommends. Climb
early in the morning before thunder clouds develop or on a very clear day.
