Cat Lake below Upper Cataract Lake. It takes about 4 hours to hike
to here. Most of trail is through dense forest. One doesn't break out
into the open until one is almost at these high lakes. The first half-mile
of the trail was through an amazing bloom of tall wildflowers. We passed
through them too early and too late to photograph them well. Scroll down
to see the open portion of the trail just before reaching Upper Cataract Lake.
