The high peak is 12,524' (3817 meters) Bowen Mountain. At the
far end of the long valley is Bowen Pass. Ruby Lake is hidden in
the valley, about half a mile to the left (southwest) of Bowen Pass.
It can be reached by first making the descent to Bowen Lake and
then deep down into the forest. Instead of descending, we continue to
the left along the Continental Divide Trail with the intention of curving
around Cascade and Ruby Mountain to reach Bowen Pass. Click on
