One of the very few remains of Lulu City. Today it is a meadow,
as it used to be. Around 1966, many of the historic settlements in the
Kawuneeche valley were "66ed" with the intent of erasing its human
history. If you are carrying a heavy pack, it is recommended that you
camp at the "Stage Road" site, a short ways ahead, 4 miles from the
trailhead. At the 3.4 mile point, there is a fork in the trail. The left (west)
fork says, Lulu City, 0.2 mile, Thunder Pass 3.4 miles; the right fork says
Little Yellowstone which is at the bottom of The Crater of Specimen Mtn.
After "Stage Road" it's all UP HILL.
