Once you get used to it, it is not that hard to follow the trails made by elk. The fallen timber across the paths
was not great and much of it was very old. The main difficulty is that the elk will lead you to their favorite
feeding grounds .... these salad bars can be quite damp. We encountered one that was huge with high water
extending deep into the surrounding forest. Scroll down for two more views of these wet meadows.
