This is the view from the top of the first shelf. Later in the season,
with less snow, one could consider following the valley up to the
snow chutes and then turning left up the mountain. We chose instead
to work our way through the trees to the next major shelf. Scroll down.

From the next major shelf up, one can look down on Lone Pine Lake.
