A bit of the mountain is in the cloud tops. Glaciers have
been receding worldwide. Experts can perhaps compare
these October of 2003 images with other ones to help them
document these movements. As we descend from here, we will
cross a flat valley below the glacial till that once was a lake.
Powerful melt waters caused a natural dam at the end of the
valley to burst and forced significant erosion all the way down
the Paro Valley (as the dominoes fell). Click on photo to start
